westslope wroteSmokin' hot blues-rock party music. Am a little embarrassed to say that I never heard of Mr. Landreth. Stay tuned; he gets considerable play on RP. That is a very good thing. |

Wow! Louisiana, eh? You don't say..... Smokin' hot blues-rock party music. Am a little embarrassed to say that I never heard of Mr. Landreth. (Talking Heads just came on? Time to turn down the volume.) |

Same age as me and I am ashamed to say I'd never heard of Sonny Landreth. Yet again thanks Bill for introducing me to this mans music. Gets an 8 from me. Time to send another donation methinks.

Weird : I thought from the first bar It was a version of "In the Cage" or a band covering Genesis. How far was I off the mark!

This is not what I've come to expect from Sonny Landreth ('South of I-10', 'Blue Tarp Blues', et al). But I'm diggin' it. It's got that swampy feeling about it.

How much more reverb could Sonny have? Well, the answer is none. None more reverb. I rather like his sound though. And the wanking for that matter. |

This is the GOOD STUFF. Quality shines always. Echoes of Savoy Brown from the dark ages of rock :) |

Sonny also makers a guest appearance on Mark Knopfler's concert VHS/DVD.

Eric asks the same question. He also says, ''Sonny Landreth is one of the most talented--and underappreciated--guitarists in the world.'' And Slowhand knows a bit about guitar playing. |

As they say on those commercial radio stations ... "and the hits keep rolling"! Sonny L. is a guitar master, great song choice, fits the today's play list.

This would make a Guitar Hero track.
