The singer reminds me a bit of Mark E Smith of The Fall fame, though rather more tuneful and less aggressive.

"The band took their name from Linda Kasabian, the young pregnant girl who drove the car in which the killers escaped after the murder of Leno and Rosemary Labianca, the second of the Tate-Labianca murders.

The band has been compared with the likes of Primal Scream, with whom they share an electronica-indie rock fusion, and The Stone Roses and Oasis, with whom they share confidence, swagger and rough vocal style"

I'm not really familiar with these guys but off the cuff I would say that this is watered down Rage Against the Machine. Now RATM is something I could get behind being on RP. Especially their cover of Springsteen's Ghost of Tom Joad.

This isn't rap. It might be more rap-ish than the last emmylou harris tune, but my god. Rap? not even close.

I'm with you there. I think RP could use a little more Hip Hop, but I'm still happy to have it playing all day even if they don't.

It's about as close as we get here. We're not real likely to hear Mos Def or Dialated Peoples here. Maybe some Roots though .... hhmmmm ... I'll have to check the Music list.

It turns out that one of the band members picked Linda Kasabians name because he "just thought the word was cool", he didnt have any politics or weirdness about it.

Finally a rap song on RaP!

Actually, Bill does play a few, from time to time. And I nearly always enjoy them. The perfect dosage, apparently.
