Them there is some bad vocals. And yes,I agree with the comments that say this is almost bad enough to be the Dead.
However since the artists seem somewhat conscious and interested it doesn't sink to that level of non-music.

Incredibly haunting pedal steel here. Nice.

Cranky (but happy?) Jefferson Airplane. Gotta get this one!

When I heard the vocals at the beginning of this track I thought this was McCartney...Not sure why.

Hey, it has cool pedal steel, and I'm a sucker for that, so we have a winner by default here.....

Sounds like he's crying throughout the song. Too whiny for me.

My thoughts exactly...there's such a GD vibe on a couple songs from this album...not always a good thing for an artist.

This song just never fails to put me in a fabulous mood... It evokes peaceful vistas of grassy meadows and Flatirons and lenticular clouds and the scent of red pines after a mountain-top squall...
Keep on digging, Bill!

Sounds way too much like the Dead for me to like it....guess that's probably a good thing for some people.

I so much wanted to hate this song, but it has grown on me. Kind of like that plantar wart that I loved to pick at.

I find Ryan such a fascinating character.. and going to see him in Nottingham and Manchester on his recent small UK solo tour just made his music even more magical to me... yum!!

Ryan & the Cardinals are good at what they do... the three guitars going has quite an effect, add in the steel guitar...

and for those of us who grew up listening to and digging the Grateful Dead, this music takes you places... i bought the cd for a friend, borrowed it, and been listening to it a lot... it's another vein of muscianship from muscians doing what they love - some appreciate it, others do not...

Hey, is this a backhanded Neil Young compliment?! If so, it may be a first. Cool!
