Despite of the religious background which is a problem for me, the song is so catchy that I give it a 9

Given the variety of songs that RP covers, I hear this bloody song way too much. I almost want to rate it a 1 out of spite....

The song really captures the college-age state of mind when the world seems endlessly discoverable and hopeful.

Agreed. Sufjan is a very likeable new addition to the music world as I know it. Any one seen him in concert? I missed the opportunity to see him a few weeks ago, thanks to The Man.

Am I the only one that thinks he si trying to make the lyrics work with the music, and not succeding at all?

Not the kind of thing that I would ordinarily buy or program - but I admit I remembered having heard it on RP before - and I had to walk over and look this time to see what it was. Like all paintings cannot all be the same color (and be very interesting), a day of music needs different tones. Thanks Bill.

What would he or she need to tell him? Bill already says it right: "Sufjan, pronounced SOOF-yawn..." Perhaps you could spare us the angst and look these things up yourself next time?

Likeable tune, though some songs wear better than others (like this one).

Nope – still doesn't agree with me after the fifth listen. I appreciate the openness but his singing style and lyrics are a bit too 'feel sorry for me'.

Sounds like Ben Lee, and just as repetitive.

I like his music much better after seeing that picture!

but Sufjan is quickly becoming the new Cake of RP (i.e., overplayed)

Ya beat me to it! The Polyphonic Spree could sound like this with better talent and much better production. That having been said, I love the Spree for who they are, and I guess I'll be picking up this work, too!

Too repetitive in an annoying way...like nails on a chalk board to my ears.
