Well, this isn't that bad but the music closely resembles the original, so the only difference is Tracy's singing... and I must say that I prefer Bob!

Regardless, any reggae brightens my day considerably.

I uploaded this as my first RP upload today (expecting no hope of it being accepted by Bill), so I thought I'd throw some pennies in for why I did so.

Of note, I'm really new to this as I only registered today, so please don't get me all wrong :|

Personally, I like the fact that this rendition is sang by a woman. Master Marley's is undoubtedly the best, but there's something definitely added by a woman singing it.

Also, it featured on a bonus CD and wasn't necessarily part of a start-to-finish album. To me it's her homage to one of the greats.

Lastly... since the lyrics and melody are timeless, it always makes me smile

Exactly my thoughts!! This version doesn't add anything to the song... Bob did it perfectly. So why bother??

(of course she's allowed to perform this live, but I can see NO reason to put it on record or, ultimately, to play it on RP.)

Was Tracy undergoing electroshock therapy while she was singing this?
