This is the WORST crap I have ever heard in my life!!!!
sike!(10)
It does need a tiny bit more cow bell though... a tiny bit.
P.S.: Beethoven looks a little under the weather in the CD cover photo. |

I like this version...the quicker pace in areas lowers the tension a bit.
I like a number of conductors take on this priceless classic.

sections of this are poorly conducted, and way too fast. If your going to play a classic, find a better adaptation than this.

I was half waiting for ELO to come in with "Roll over Beethoven", but a full tilt classical is always a fine break-you can feel the energy in the strings.

Radio-Paradise righteously pride themselves to be eclectic. Done again !
Those complaining about this classical insert in their favorite radio program should review their basics on RP "mission".
Having said this, it should not end up RP programming only the best sellers in classical, jazz, and reggae music genres. R&B, please open up forum(s) on uploads selection and policy.

Did anyone ever happen to listen to the Carlos Kleiber and the Wiener version of the 5th and 7th symphonies (DG 447400-2), especially the 7th ? IMHO it is equal to the Solti's performance by the enthusiatic pulse it has versus the pompe in all Herr Von Karajan (RIP) mass production. Kleiber just dusts off your listening of Beethoven masterpieces. Give it a try.

Once you've heard Toscanini (even in glorious, Red-Label Mono), there's no going back :-) |

OK seriously this sounds so pretentious and intense, I think this guy "Beethoven", whoever he is, needs to relax, and take life a little less seriously it seems...maybe a little Bob Marley and a toke or two would losen him up...or maybe he just needs to get laid.

OK, nothing against classical music per se, but how come classical pieces seem to have a much higher ratio of 10 ratings than other stuff. Do people just give them 10's because they're classical? Just wondering.
edit:
This is what I meant to say too, but someone else said it better.

I WANT to rate it lower so it'll go away (from here)... |

For what it's worth the other 2 in my symphonic top 3 would be; Shostakovich 5 & Berlioz symphony fantastique. I wonder if it's worth attempting an LRC download/review?

Sounds EXACTLY like the Dead or maybe ( insert name of half remembered rock group here > or maybe < insert name of obscure group no-one has ever heard of here > who i really dug before anyone else got into them
< Editor, just get on with it, will you?>
This dude has ripped off Jerry Garcia for too frickin' long and I think younger kids should know who was the source and who is the rip-off-merchant
Long live the Dead!

OK, now Beethoven to "Highway to Hell" -- that's gotta rank up there with the most phenomenal seques I have EVER heard. Brilliant, Bill!
It's like I'm listening to three radio stations at once!

Bjork to Beethoven, eh?
No way I'm going to rate this less than the godlike 10 it is, but I would actually prefer not to be listening to this as part of my RP diet.
Now, if we were talking about the last movement of the 9th, that would be something else.
And the Adagio from the Piano Concerto #5 (the Emperor concerto) ... oh man ... there is no more beautiful piece of music ever composed than the moving, lyrical, phenomenal, heart-felt 2nd movement of the Piano Concerto #5.
