The first two J Geils albums are absolute dynamite, first track to last. Virtually every track! By the time this came along, the band had lost some of their edge and was moving toward the path of commercialism that eventually broke up the band.
Meanwhile, even mediocre J Geils is better than most |

Yeah, I also saw them live (in your hometown, too), but I was talking about this particular song. The only people I knew that liked this song had a mullet. I'm ashamed to admit I knew people that had mullets. |

Man, you took the words right out of my mouth! I went to ZooMass in the 70s and tell me this song wasn't played loud and proud by all us chowdahheads! Saw them in concert on campus and that place was rockin! Good days! |

Oh I know it, just don't have it except on vinyl. On Love Stinks, I believe.
I always kinda thought it was a throwaway, liked Piss on the Wall a whole lot better. |

I'm not sure how to rate this one, but I used to love the ending music when I was in high school. By that, I mean everything after that launching whistle followed by bongos, harmonica and piano.
This is fun to dance to. There's not a lot of rock and/or roll music out there that you can dance to (at least not without feeling like a fool). Now, I just need to find a pair of those hideous gold shoes Peter Wolf wore in that video. Never mind.

Check out some of Peter's solo stuff. I heard his rendition of "Holdin' on to nothing but the wheel" while driving late one night and picked up "Sleepless" the next day. Mick Jagger does a little back up on it. Good stuff.
