I agree, I kept drifting off with good memories of Beatles remade.  Catchy tune, popish, but me likes this band.  This is what RP is all about, something new, different and not likely to hear on mainstream, generic airwaves.  The eclectic variety that keeps me coming back for more RP and for more obscure bands and albums to add to the buy list.  Keep it up Bill!.

I couldn't disagree more. A sublime song on Supergrass's best album. As several posters below have noted, this one's loaded with all sorts of reverential references from the Beatles to Jellyfish, a summation with legs of its own.

Sounds enough like a rip-off that the MJ Estate should be making money off this song!!

Yeah, one of the weak points on the album. Generally good though. I'm glad I picked up the whole thing.

Odd... today's set:
8:57 am - Supergrass - Sad Girl
8:53 am - Miss Chaos - Surrendered
8:46 am - Kronos Quartet - Lux Aeterna
8:42 am - Garbage - The Trick is to Keep Breathin
8:39 am - Catherine Wheel - Crank
Gotta wonder why the Miss Chaos song was changed.... unless the name was wrong before, perhaps?

And now the set slides most righteously right into Porcupine Tree...
Some most excellent masters are indeed at the controls here...
Go ahead and set 'em for the rocking heart of the Galaxy, Bill and 'Becca! TASTY JAM! {#Tongue}

I agree. I got this disc on ebay a few weeks ago and think it's really, really good. Great songwriting, evocative of the Beatles and Supertramp.

Hey, a Supergrass song that just sounds influenced by the Beatles, as opposed to a flat-out cover. A solid 6!

I reckon they influenced a few themselves!
