Very inconsistent; I can take or leave the bulk of the song, but then it kicks into fantastic crank-it-up high gear at the end, there.

Don't know who influenced these guys when writing this song, and I am pretty sure the band Chicago was not on their mind, but this song just reminds me of "Feeling Stronger Every Day". Regard that as a compliment as I like the way both tunes build toward the end. The drum work is similar and drives the song. good stuff...

Okay - bumping from 8 to 9 - what a joyously abandoned song... No wine tonight, so I be dancing. Care to join me, romeotuma?

Anybody catch them close with this song on the webcast from Coachella back in mid-April? Impressive...

I'm really getting into the "hey-la, hey-la" thing... I might dance. No, wait - probably not a good idea, since I've had two glasses of wine and I have to work tomorrow so might be checking out early... Still, I love this song.

It was probably one of the greatest moments with my girls - I jumped right in with them and tried to capture whatever they were feeling ... alas I think I only got a part of it
thanks for playing that RP - totally makes me think of my daughters I'm 24 and just found myself bouncing about in my chair without realizing it (which was swiftly followed by a glance around the office to find I AM alone). Movement is one of my markers of really good music: a song has to make me want to groove. The New Pornographers can do that song after song. |

I read an interview somewhere where the lead singer was talking about that. When the band was asked by the University, they had never heard of it but assumed that it was Phoenix AZ's city university. Sounds like a fine organization, right? After the commercials started airing, they realized it was a diploma mill. Too late to do anything about it. |
