the successful line-up from the late seventies with Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie, Christine McVie. they made brilliant albums like RUMOURS and TUSK.

Eric Clapton's autobiography is a very very good read for the personal view he allows us to have of him. But a byproduct is a music history lesson. And part of that is the role early Fleetwood Mac had on the 60's English Blues Rock scene. FM was every bit as involved as the Yardbirds, John Mayhall, and many others.

Does this make anyone think of Robert Cray? Especially nearer the end of the song.

Mwahahaha! Black Magic Woman right after Santana's "Not one to depend on" ... Now, here I do prefer Santana's version ... they do feel what is behind 'don't turn your back on me babee" {#Moon} {#Sunny}

I always liked this version of FM.  I happen to like both versions of this song.  Santana's is different and I like his take on it.  And, this one has a rawer blues feeling to it.

Cool; didn't know that either.   I like Santana's 'version' but, like many others, find Santana's stuff a tad boring.

Agreed.  I can't believe this song is a Fleetwood Mac original.  It really doesn't sound like them, but then I always forget they have blues roots. I'm a huge FM fan, but this song gets a big 'Meh' from me.

we all love the mainstream magic of "Rumours", when the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks catapulted the MAC to pop/rock stardom up somewhere in the stratosphere...........

I'll assume you're trying to be polite, but no, not all of us love the last version of Fleetwood Mac.

Wow - I was just introducing a younger friend to the "Peter Green Fleetwood Mac" on Friday via this song. Like a lot of folks, he was only aware of the mid-70s version of the band. Great to hear this on RP, thanks!

Tragic.  I wonder if he and Syd Barrett went off on the same trip.

My favorite years for Fleetwood Mac are those with Peter Green. The later stuff is ok, big in my high school years, but not as edgy as this material.
