What's longer, the end of this song, or the end of Don't Fear the Reaper?  Enough already.

Can there possibly be such a thing as 'my favorite Beatles song?' That is a hard one. It would be like asking me which of my children is my favorite. Impossible, the question is just wrong. I love them each for each their own distinctive qualities. So it is with Beatles songs. And I sure do love and appreciate the sublime qualities of this particular song.

Not my favorite album of theirs but this song has always been terrific.  I find I prefer John's songs to the others.  Of course that doesn't mean the others are tripe.  Not at all.  For example, "While my Guitar ..." is still a great song.  I just always seemed to like John's output (Day in the Life is my favorite from Sgt Pepers; Tomorrow Never Knows from Revolver; In my Life is a great one from Rubber Soul).  And then John's solo output was better than either Paul's or George's.

Amazing! Probably my favourite Beatles song.

I almost refuse to believe the same people are also responsible for such atrocities as Obladi oblada {#Stupid}

I remember reading an article about a producer that was working with Metallica (I can't stand them so I can't remember why I was reading the article in the first place, but still...)

ANYWAY, he was talking about playing this cut and all the guys in the band listening to it intently, especially the end riff, and them going "man, what a solid, heavy riff, who is this?"  Uh, the Beatles.

It probably says tons about heavy metal bands and Metallica in particular.  Someone more articulate can probably expound on it better than I.
