I am having an unlistenable day

Production is something akin to Todd (Runt) Rundgren's work.

Wincing the Night Away gets better with each listen. I love this song, especially. However, some songs are still amiss.

I still think chutes to narrow was a little better then this album. Although I still enjoy this one.

I'm an open-eared kinda guy, I love 99% of what RP plays, but really, this song bugs the cr*p outta me every time I hear it. Similar to how you pull your hand away from a hot stove, I change the station as quickly as I can when this song comes on. Pleeeeeaze don't play this too often...pleeease.

milehighYinzer wrote:Really, even if it is just a generalization and a joke? What about if somebody says, "Wow, people on this board really take life a little too serious." Is that rude also? Is that not nice to speak for everybody on a internet message board?
There was not an emoticon or anything to indicate it was a joke or anything in jest.
Another poster used it as a zinger that your comment opened the door for, MHY. The offended posts only grew from there.
In response to your second question, NO, it is not rude, because it's just a personal observation. Presuming others opinions and being rude would mean saying something like: "Us RP listeners feel that some folks really take life too serious" instead of the personal observation, "Wow, people on this board really take life a little too serious." There is a difference.
You can say I need to lighten up. I can say people need to be careful about what they post and how it will be taken.
When it comes to Iraq, anyone who thinks statements about it can be laughed at with a US citizen must have just signed on yesterday (like, "born yesterday")

I must've been in a really bad mood, because since the album as come out I think this is one of the better songs The Shins have done.

Hmm. I had almost the exact opposite happen - the intro was really starting to annoy me so I was going to rate it and found.....I had already given it an 8.
