Simply Put...Mind Blowing. This guy can make noise with a uke like no other. Truly the Jimi Hendrix of ukelele. I saw him play with Bela Fleck and Flecktones in Telluride. They also had a theramin player that year. It absolutely rocked my world.

F*ckin jaw-dropping. The video is just sensational. I've played music for 35 years and rarely see anyone on any instrument who can achieve that level of excellence. Brings many memories back of my old guitar teacher.

Jake Shimabakuro really validates the ukelele as a stringed instrument. Just fabulous. This is why I love RP. I would never know this guy except for Bill G.

So that's the guy name, I saw the video on you tube and I was really impressed, but I didn't know that he has an album, well he is great player and I am happy to hear this on RP

Wonderfull.There are other videos kicking around,the ones I've seen are spellbinding.

Check this guy out whenever you can- he is a truly gifted instrumentalist on his concert ukulele.

There's this whole ukulele revivalist movement in Australia right now, with mass gatherings of ukelele players springing up all over the country. And its probably all because of this dude.

I like it but I think I like the version he plays in the video better.

Wow! What a surprise. I never heard a cover of this before. Didn’t think anyone would have the guts...it’s such a great, classic song. But Jake handles it very well putting his own touches on it. I like it!
