At least no one could accuse him of being a sell-out ... that is unless he licenses it to a life insurance company for their marketing.

A friend of mine ended up in an impromptu acapella (using that term loosely) jam in a university basement hallway with the aforementioned Mr. McFerrin back in the day and from all accounts, the guy could definitely put a dent in Global Warming.

Ergh, can't stand this one.  Too high school poet trying to tackle death and dying for me.

The hard hitting reality he sings about is just too much for some, but I've learned to somewhat accept the dark in life, because without acknowledging it, how can I truly see the Light?  Love the group, love the songs.......{#Yes}

I agree, it's a difficult song to listen to - very emotional.  It reminds me a lot of Wilco's "On & On & On."

Yeah, but the kid singing this is married to Zoey Deschanel. This is her in the picture. So everyone doesn't hate him. I think he's pretty cool, too. {#Wave}

This song makes me sad- thinking about how the survivor would feel after our partner dies. Makes me want to cry {#Cry}

Time away has not made me like this song any more. Though I was able to make it through it without taking off my headphones or muting...

I think writing about death and depression is generally an easier way to go, or it wouldn't have been done so many times. Writing a "cool" song about being happy, now that's hard.

You mean like "Don't Worry, Be Happy"?
