Opening notes...insta-Led Zepplin, then after that, it's not as good, but decent.

Rey Villalobos, the singer/songwriter for Coral Sea, is a man. Pity a number of folks below seem to have a problem with that. This song is beautiful. Another group like Silversun Pickups in a very nice trend started earlier by Mercury Rev and the Flaming Lips. Thanks, RP, for playing it so often. I'd love to hear more from this album.

Glad I wasn't the only one to think that. I'm a serious Pretenders nut, and at first, I thought "What?? I've never heard this song before." Well, I figured out it wasn't, even before seeing the "Now Playing". Still, quite a resemblance, and enjoyable. Jeez, Chrissie just sends me over the edge... |

Love this. Although TBH I can hear about 3 other artists in there - it starts out sounding like Chrissie Hynde covering Radiohead, then the chorus is really reminiscent of an NZ band called Goldenhorse. But still lovely.
Great playlist, this one.

Looks like you got me wrong right from the start, and things are not improving. Too difficult to sort it out. Only that much: I dont feel superior to anybody. And communication via the web is always a tricky thing. Have a nice one! |
