My vote for best live album ever — even better than the Allmans' Live at the Fillmore. A great introduction to a great band, backed by the best horn section around.

Named after the fact, but the Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge is a pretty cool music venue. An LSU college/downtown hipster bar, but you can get hookers/crack/killed in the neighborhood immediately adjacent to keep authenticity with the lyric. |

I was lucky enough to hear them live at about this time, '77 or '78, in East Lansing. I don't think anyone sat during the whole show. RIP Lowell George.
BTW, the release date for this LP should be 1978 (currently listed as 1989). -Ed

This song is quite profound... I remember how we used to party while it played, and we would sing along with it for fun... we did not know how true this song really is... of course, I am talking about last week...
