For all of her much-reported problems, she showed up on time at Lollapalooza and played a brilliant set. Hope she get's help though.

I read that part of the reason she got so skinny is that she quit smoking A TON of weed every day and replaced that habit with going to the gym.

Heroin chic, I suppose .. but then we shouldn't gloat at her distress. Poor lady, there are so many emotions and other stuff going around inside a real artist's head that we ordinary mortals have no way of knowing most of the time.

I mean think of the music which must flow through her brain all the time .. almost like a skitzo hearing The Voices.

This is the face of The Damned, indeed.

Bless her heart

Stunning voice, killer production, interesting songs. Too bad she's a trainwreck. Hopefully she can keep it together enough to still make such interesting music into the future.

Ok. We've all seen this show.

She will prolly not improve, will most likely only continue down hill until she finally loses everything - including her record deal - and becomes a guest on some version of "where are they now?" in about 10 years with so much recovery slogans and about 20 pounds of healthy weight.

Now that you say that, why, yes, I Do, I DO hear a similarity to Nina Simone.

She does not sound like Nina Simone in any of her other songs but I thought Nina was singing the first time I heard this song on Radio Paradise.

She's had a lot of addiction issues. Maybe that's what makes her music so good.

Oh, TO black, not IN black. Thought this was some sort of weird AC/DC cover. By the way - this sounds nothing like AC/DC.

This is what I imagine that early 1960's coffee-house songstresses sounded like. Groovy and soulful.

Hm. I keep hearing about this Amy Winehouse and keep listening for stuff by her to see what the big deal is. And here a whole song just came and went without registering in my brain at all. Hm.

I can't even rate it. It made no impact at all.

I think this is her second album. . . Bill just said it was her debut, but that was called "Frank". This could be considered her American debut, I guess.
