This artist does not get nearly enough credit.

Not really fond of Tori Amos, but I like this song.  Client's "Lights Go Out" would sound good following this one. {#Sunny}

I like her more intimate pieces as well, but your criticism has validity to it.  Personally, I like her drama.  She's captivating.

As much as it pains me to admit it, I agree... While her artistic "flourishes" (some would say excesses) make her initimate works painful and overwraught (to me), they seem to translate into pretty good rock songs.

Love it,
Tori Amos is just all the way HOT!

Wow it is mighty refreshing to see a woman in "the business" who looks at (and portrays) several facets of her self.  Not just the hot, cutesy, babygirl side.  Sure, she's still a performer (and that's like saying "sure, he's still a politician, but...") but I see her as so much more of a "real" person than almost any other female artist out there.

Even though this song is not one of my favs, her first three albums will always be tops on my classics list.

Did I mention that the first time I heard Tori's name, I thought my friend had said "Torn Anus?"

I thought he was talking about a punk band. . .

Sweet Communion
Sweet Communion

I have waited all my life
You say you are bonafide
To be my judge
Lay your law down on me love

Seven devils bring them on
I have left my weapons
'cause I think you're wrong
These devils of yours they need love

Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Body and Soul Body and Soul Body and Soul

Sweet Communion
Sweet Communion
In my temple boy be warned
Violence doesn't have a home now but ecstasy
That's as pure as a woman's gold

Seven devils bring them on
I have left my weapons
'cause I think you're wrong
These devils of yours they need love

Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Body and Soul Body and Soul Body and Soul

I'll save you from that sunday sermon
Boy I think you need a conversion
Body and Soul

Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Come and kneel with me Body and Soul
Body and Soul Body and Soul Body and Soul

Not mine, either, but...

...Sounds like she had some things to "get out of her system" here on this album, and it's fascinating to listen along as she does so.

(Not sure I buy the record, though.)

I'm a huge fan of Kate Bush as well as Tori Amos and really don't see all of the referenced similarities between the two aside from their both being uniquely talented singer/songwriters. But I do  agree, this is not one of my favorite Tori songs.

I agree with the lack of similarity. However, I totally dig this song! {#Drummer}
