Sam Beam (aka Iron & Wine) lives in Austin I found out. Has a serious mountain man look going. He's a freak, but man, talented. I kinda dig his sound.

Just listened to this whole album the whole way through yesterday and it's GREAT. If you like this the rest of the album is definitely for you. Lovely.

I concur, I didn't know jack about I&W with the exception of the remake of Postal's song on the Garden State soundtrack.

But now I've also purchased two I&W albums, Our Endless Numbered Days is totally amazing, yet to get this new one though, sounds good from what I've heard on RP though!

I used to think Iron & Wine were too folky and boring for me. Then this album came out. It's upbeat and funky at times, with profound lyrical poetry. A record to rival "Wincing The Night Away" for record of the year.
