Without the Sandy Denny sampling it might have seen a rating of 4 or 5 from me; but...her voice gives me goosebumps. It  automatically made me sit up and take notice of this song and bumps it up to 7.

Although... I always preferred Judy Dyble's voice for its naiveté.

Nothing says "creativity" like an oscillator sweep.

Unless it's sampling an entire vocal track.

I think I'll go listen to some Fairport, the only enjoyable thing here.

As a long-term Fairport aficionado, this song spooked me the first time I heard it, but after I couple of listens I really love it, especially the orchestration.  And it can't be bad if it allows a new generation to hear just what a beautiful voice Sandy had.

Same for me. This sounds kind of like Sandy haunting a video game.

I love the Fairport Convention song they’ve sampled for this and I’m not sure that I altogether approve of what they’ve done to it! However that's probably shock at hearing used this way.
I think I should listen to the track again a couple of times before I decide.

I'm with you. I did not recogize the Fairport Convention song, but thought she did sound like Sandy.

A few more listens are needed here.

Love this. I understand about the shock. And thanks for mentioning Fairport Convention. I knew I recognized the voice but was having a hard time placing it - wayyy out of musical context :-)

I like, though. It's got a nice flow and a nice feel.

This is pretty gimmicky, I like everything about it except the way-too-heavy drum track.
