Love it - the acoustic guitar, the breathy flute, quite apart from the fiddle. And its on Spotify

Already a 9, and that's just for the Klezmer fiddle introduction alone!

Lovely. Good beat and cratful composing. Is that Ian Anderson on flute? He has been known to help younger artists in recordings, as well as live performances. From Wikipedia: In January 2012 Sophie will take up the Directorship of the Jewish Music Institute, SOAS.

Lovely, evocative. Also, the album title is making me think of Madeira (the island) and Madeira (the wine). Madeira (the island) is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I had Madeira (the wine) there—which was also lovely. |

This information has now become part of your overall knowledge base. I hope that makes you happier, if only just a sliver. For some reason this tune is really hitting the sweet spot tonight. |

If the violin is followed by accordion, then it is Gogol. I the violin is followed by sarcasm, then it's TMBG. |

Istanbul is where east meets west, exactly where I would imagine a fusion like this to originate. Note to self: I must listen to Bordello.

I feel like Pavlov's dog, except that I really don't want to rip out anyone's jugular for shocking me instead of feeding me.
