Be Here Now (or Remember, Be Here Now) is a seminal<1><2> 1971 book on spiritualityyoga andmeditation by the Western born yogi and spiritual teacher Ram Dass. The title comes from a statement his guide, Bhagavan Das, made during Ram Dass's journeys in India. The cover features a Mandala incorporating the title, a chair, radial lines, and the word "remember".

Weirdness in life - we have to take one of our cats in to the vet because of an upper-respiratory problem. Officially, he's not my cat, but my brother simply doesn't notice him or his brother, so I'm the bad guy who notices and makes a fuss. Emotions boiling inside me - I came in for a shot of rum (yeah, I quit hard liquor, but life seems to be plotting against all my good notions), and this song was playing.

I still took the shot of rum, but I'm a lot more mellow and understanding now. And yes, Bro will be the one to take Scooter to the vet. I might be soft, but I'm not stupid.

I hear this song and am taken away immediately. He pulls on my soul-strings like no one.

Fortunately for me, I am rarely listening when it happens to come on so it is still ok with me. However, I don't like hearing anything more than once a week or so or I get cranky.{#Headache}

Well, and we could expect nothing less from you. Sending sledgehammers, brain-shattering sub-woofers, and a beat so frenetic it might elicit a heart attack.  Are you still here?  Damn. Back to the drawing board.

On the RP rotation list, and for good reason - I've loved this song since hearing it here a couple of years ago. Thanks for continuing to play quality, smart, interesting, thoughtful music. We don't always agree on every choice, but the choices are always striking and usually spot-on no matter who or or where you are.

What a beautiful song. The chorus soars in such a haunting way, makes me happy and sad at the same time.
