I'd never heard this song, or anything by him and Allison Krauss, but I really like it! Very rockabilly, but not totally out of Plant's realm. And the combination of Krauss's voice and Plant's improvisations is just impressive. Thanks, RP, for playing this!
Interesting. First, Plant's pedigree and creds are underrated. There's a video floating around (used to get medium rotation on MTV--might find it now on You Tube) of Plant singing Elvis's "Little Sister" with the classic Rockpile (Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner, and Terry Williams) backing him up. Second, I'm still undecided about the Plant/Krauss combo. Some of it seems to work; some of it doesn't. And during their interviews, even the staged ones on MTV HD, there doesn't seem to be that personal chemistry that you'd expect. Each seems oddly uncomfortable with the other. That said, T-Bone Burnett does his usual first class job on the charts and production. |

I disagree, and I disagree. The first Plant/Krauss song I heard I thought, who is that washed up bugger singing with what's-her-face? I put Plant in the same category as David Gilmour and Mark Knopfler -- artists with great performing careers that should have ended in 1991. In the case of DG and MK they would make great instrumentalists for soundtracks or other artists. RP to me would do well to move into serious full-time recreational drug use, or perhaps producing. |

Saw them in Asheville, NC a couple of weeks ago. It was a terrific show! Amazing energy. Plant is a master showman who knows just when to pull back. Alisson is ethereal. The energy exchange between them and the band (tight and spooky)was magical. The crowd had a blast and the performers were stoked. A truly memorable concert. |

I think thats what the letter must have said, he's gone gone gone. Then she didn't come chasing after him, he assumed she didn't read the letter. So I am wondering if he is really gone gone gone or just playing games games games!

I was in Ottawa this past weekend and they have a chain restaurant, "The Works", that sells peanut butter on burgers.
And if you really want a taste treat, the restaurant concept is that you order the toppings separate from the pattie -- i.e. instead of a burger, you can get your peanut butter on chicken or turkey.
From the menu of 50 toppings:
"Hold The Phone" peanut butter, cream cheese & jack cheese -- $10.56
"SK8R Boy" peanut butter, jack cheese & strip bacon
Gaye Cook says just do it !! -- $11.54
I didn't try any of the above. What I did try had a slab of avocado (which was as risky as I wanted to go :) ) and that worked.
"The Red House" roasted red peppers, avocado, beechhouse sauce & havarti cheese -- $11.12

This s exactly the kind of thing I want to hear from one of the grandfathers of rock: tight, fun, non-pretentious. Kind of coming full circle and just making good music. Not re-hashing what once was, and should be left to age in its brilliance- rather than a vehicle of fortune.

Burgers and a Peanut Butter shake on the other hand...
This is one of my favorite tracks off the album, even though it's a cover. The rest of the album is hit or miss, but I really enjoy this track. an 8 |

Are you crazy?! Burgers and peanut butter taste FANTASTIC together! If you don't believe me, watch Twilight Zone: The Movie. I rest my case.

I just thought repeating the same artists every four to six hours is what most people come to Radio Paradise to escape. |

I agree with Bill on his selects from this album. It's funny how people only react to the tunes they don't like when they are played "too much". But then again, that's what this space if for.

Consider playing Plant and Tori Amos "Down By the Seaside" next time if you want a good duet....
