I thought BRMC as well - but I really like the whispery shoe gazing vocals mixed with the acid laced guitar reverb/echo and TONE.

There is some Sonic Youth influence here I think. I hear J&M Chain and Stone Roses as well tho...
This song is growing on me...

Relayer, I'm hoping some of their work and BRMCs is on "The Precious" when I get it. Cheers, T |

Check out early Ride stuff (leave them all behind - especially)
More of the same please

Considering that both High Violets and BRMC formed in the same year (1998) and released their first US albums in 2002 and 2003 respectively, sounding similar isn't that unexpected, although High Violets first release was an EP in 1999. So it's pretty hard to determine who came first. I'm just glad they're both here... |

Well, all music is derivative, can't blame them for that. Been going on since people in caves figured out how to bash a log i figure.
Agree—I should have added the oft-quoted Seinfeld line, "Not that there is anything wrong with that." |

Long winded droning montony. What is going on with RP lately? I fear I will quit listening again for several days if things don't improve soon.
