You audio nerds are most likely listening at a lower bit rate. Use some of the higher quality options that RP provides for you.

Then... go to a mirror and look in it... and punch yourself in the head really hard a few times. Recall fondly the old schoolyard days when there was someone else on hand to correct you and your nerdly ways.

The Weepies after The Who is as eclectic as hot dogs after a New York Strip.

Define 'band'.

 1. a company of persons or, sometimes, animals or things, joined, acting, or functioning together; aggregation; party; troop: a band of protesters.
2. Music . a. a group of instrumentalists playing music of a specialized type: rock band; calypso band; mariachi band.

They seem to qualify by those definitions.

I like it but feel that their band name is so unfortunate, and I know that shouldn't matter!

This song reminds me of "Little Sparrow" by Dolly Parton. Another beautiful song.

Don't put "Weepies" and "pleasant" in the same paragraph again.  To be safe, don't even put them on the same page, in the same book, or even the same library.  "Hard to find"?  Deservedly so.

Weepies fans should definitely check out Something Burning, the album that Deb put out a while ago, before A Bird Flies Out.  Very accessible, intimate, and damn pleasant to listen to any time of day.  The disc is very hard to find, but the MP3's are cheap on LaLa or Amazon.

Define 'band'.

 peter_james_bond wrote:

WOW, Harsh or what? Why such hatred directed at this unassuming band. They may not be my favorite but I wouldn't cut them down like you did. I find nothing grating or dreck-like about the singers voice; I don't hear a faux lisp, I don't hear her trying to sound like a 13-year-old, and I don't hear her over-pronouncing her "r"s  The vocal is understated and the song is gentle without being sappy. This song has a 7.2 rating which is pretty good for RP. And who cares about the name?
