The guy's been at it since the Beatnigs in 1986 and did his time for art and causes. Everybody has the right to relax and enjoy life when they have worked hard to succeed, it's the way of our happy Capitalist society! Fly the joy flag proudly, Michael. Probably won't wear the Tevas, tho' - dude goes barefoot most of the time.

I am so saddened that such a fantastic and brutally honest artist as Michael Franti has — with this CD, and more so on it's follow up 'The Sound of Sunshine' failed.

Everything Franti did up until 'All Rebel...' was A+++ work.  Now he's dumbed it down.  Buy a Jetta, wear Teva's, go to REI, listen to Spearhead.  Ho hum.

it gets hard to stay mad, and frustrated by the way things are with money in the bank...and considering where I am hearing this now-a-days (endorsing something or another)  it becomes real easy to turn off the suffering of others.

The music is OK, but the lyrics.....I have never said "My kid could do that" to any piece of art....until now.

Really cool song that should never, ever, ever be played again! At least not on any self respecting "Eclectic, non commercial" station.

I STILL love this song, and every time I hear it, I STILL dance to it. I hope that never changes - it's one of the few precious things in my life that make me grin and move my slacker-body at something other than a snail-pace (I hurt in places I didn't know I had, and now that I know I have them, I'm wondering if they have other uses besides inflicting unexpected pain)

Naysayers, go 'head and naysay (that looks like it's something that should be a word spelled backwards... yasyan?!)  You like what you like, and so does everyone else.  That's the fun of this place.

I'ma dance. {#Dancingbanana}
