Its always a good party until Calexico shows up and starts talking about his job to all the single chicks.

Why's this guy whispering? I'm thinking it's probably because he can't sing.

He actually has a light tenor voice with some power, but never seems to use it other than at live gigs.

This is very cool.

Nice melody - nice hooks - economy - space.

Dissonant bridge.

Groove.

Well thought out.

Yeah.

Love Calexico but this track (not a bad thing) sounds eerily like Chris Rea's "The Road to Hell," a song that also deserves every bit of airplay it can get.  Both 9+

"There's a hole in your hand where the money just falls"

I normally like Calexico, but this just made me want to hear John Prine's "Sam Stone":

"There's a hole in Daddy's arm where all the money goes /
Jesus Christ died for nothin' I suppose"

On occasion, Burns' whispery vocals annoy me but here, they work to great effect.

Not a single dud on this CD.  Excellent throughout.  Even better if you listen to the whole thing start to finish.
