OK, I'm on new ground with RP. This is my 2nd consecutive PSD. Never thought it would happen. I must be in a bad mood. What a schleppy version though. Real sleeper.
And Bill- don't know if this is your sense of humor or just coincidence, but after PSD'ing 2 songs in a row, what comes on? The Beatles "We Can Work It Out" came on. You'd have to be a cretin to turn off The Beatles.

I still like 'em, but they have excised all the up-tempo songs from their repertoire — probably because those were written by Annabelle Chvostek of the Firecracker album... Sincerely, Neil |

This version is quite touching and I'm definitely enjoying it. But me too, I'm wanting to hear Siberry. |

I am SO EXCITED.... the Jennys come to Savannah on April 16.... and I have tickets in the second row. I had just discovered them, thanks to Bill and RP, a few days after they played there two years ago. This is WORSE than when I was a kid and waiting for Christmas to get here. Come on April.... hurry up!
This song, BTW, is on the "Live at Mauch Chunk Opera House" album.

I was getting chills too. SO sorry to hear about your MIL. I know 2 people who pancreatic cancer has taken. It's a TERRIBLE thing to watch. I hope for her a quick and pain free release. |

This song would be good if it was about 40 minutes shorter.

I like the k.d. lang duet with Jane Siberry much better myself. They've put more passion in their rendering, IMO. Of course its here on RP, and never played ... |

One of my best friends has a 3 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a potentially fatal form of cancer. She's in treatment at Vancouver's Children's Hospital. She's a wonderful little girl who is too young to have to deal with something like this. Anyway, this song as performed by the Jennys, is my prayer to her. Whatever angels are in the vicinity - please help little Emily to deal with her cancer and help her find the path to a speedy and complete recovery. Everyone else who reads this is welcome to pray for Emily as well.

Curiously, that version is uploaded on RP but has never been actually played. Bill, any chance you'd play it to give folks a chance to compare the two? Personally, having heard both, I think they are both beautiful. |
