Sorry to sound old fashioned, but the production on this album is so fantastic, there is no way a compressed format can give back all the intensity. A true work of love and one of the recent records that deserve full home system CD listening. Funny enough, on this particular song he sounds more like Tears for Fears than Coldplay. Either way, all of the comparisons are exceptional company to be in.

I understand. Coldplay has a significantly higher profile, recognition factor. Never bought a Coldplay CD, but I bought this Doves CD. P.S. This song keeps getting better after multiple listens. |

I really don't understand this Coldplay comparison. Doves were around before Coldplay so maybe it should be the other way around:

Agreed. A buddy forwarded me some airmile points he couldn't use now that he is living and working in the Land of the Strong and Free, and I downloaded the entire CD. Solid. Perhaps the Dove's most unlike Coldplay effort to date. And, hey, I like Coldplay. |
