Bought this album in the last week. Best "listen through" album since "dark side of the moon". Love how riff elements progress through entire album. You will love it if you have the patience to quietly listen all the way through. Sadly, i feel most people are not capable of doing this. Channelsurfidis seems to rule in todays world.

The "female like voice" is not good. She's right on the edge of being out of tune, and the melody is tiresome. I still give the composition a 5, but that vocal...ARRRRRRGGGHHHHH! |

Somewhat enjoyable for the first 5 minutes, but goes on WAY too long.

Well, I haven't been listening much lately. This is the first time I've heard it. And, I think I like it.

Good God! That sounds like a little boy singing... and he's probably wearing a newspaper boy hat and knickers. |

Unexpectedly - and refreshingly - complex, yet lacking the unpleasantly self-indulgent bombast of The Moody Blues or Electric Light Orchestra.
More, and better, than I expected from this group.

There's a fog upon L.A. and my friends have lost their way (for some strange reason those lyrics came to mind at the intro of this song)

Well rats. I'm getting really tired of hearing this already. A little less rotation would be great, because I like it, but I don't want to hear it every few days. EDIT: How spoiled we are here at RP. We don't have to hear the same song 4 times a day like on corporate radio |

This album is a masterpiece! Best I've heard all year. Annersjen: It has 17 tracks. |

Masterpiece! Rebirth of the 70's concept album mixed with rock opera.

I know, the female character is supposed to be young, fragile, blah blah, but her voice is teetering on the edge of being too weak for that melodic line. Every time I listen to this, I feel like it's going to crack. Come back when your balls drop, sister.

Has more than a passing nod to some of Renaissance's music. Not bad in small doses. |

I have to agree as well - I was thinking this was very in the rock opera tradition when I hit RP forum to see thoughts real quick.....I really like the attempt at doing something grander and further reachign than just a single and, I'm really missing how this is barely better than a poke in the ear..... |

I bought this CD this weekend after listenting to this pair of tracks. It is excellent throughout. It's been a long time since I've heard a really good "thematic" album. It flows flawlessly from track to track.

I totally agree - this kind of music unfortunately is very rare in the radio stations today - good that RP is doing a good job in playing sometimes "offstream" music. Please keep on doing so. many thanks |

I really like that RP plays off the wall large portions of albums like this, but this really doesn't need to be in a weekly, let alone multiple-times per week rotation.
(and just so I don't get yelled at again Bill, I know you played this atleast on saturday) :)

Yes; it's seeming a bit more ostentatious on each listen. I admire what they're attempting here, but it doesn't work for me. That said, I generally like most of what I've heard from them. |
