I rated this an 8 a while back, but going down to a 5, that ending is just terrible.

Whilst listening to this my wife and daughter were in the other room watching last night's X-Factor. Get the Decemberist's on that for a laugh. {#Smile}

I quote from AMG :-

A 17-song suite (think one continuous song with track ID's peppered throughout for sanity's sake) about a girl named Margaret, shapeshifters, forest queens, and fairytale treachery, Hazards of Love is ambitious, pretentious, obtuse, often impenetrable, and altogether pretty great.
Harking back to the late-'60s/early-'70s offerings from bands like PentangleHorslipsELPSteeleye Span, and the Incredible String Band, it makes no apologies for its nerdy, prog rock musicality, and convoluted narrative.

So there!

Ambitious and eclectic.

I love the heavy part 3/4 of the way through. Nice.

Edit: that part is more like 1/2 the way through!

This is one of those songs about which I can never decide whether to like or hate it....

PLEASE make it stop!!!

"Tedious" is a good word for the dull, illiterate lyrics and boring, repetitive music of too many young bands. The Intro was all right, I've heard stuff from this band I like, but the last part was godawful.

Last night B & R played a Joan Armatrading song, followed by a couple of these pea brain, two note, droning, what I ate for breakfast bands and the contrast was unbelievable. Even following that last mess up with Collective Soul now, makes CS sound like old school when people knew how to write songs.

Yeah, old fart talking, just DON'T BORE US. If we weren't still savvy listeners, we wouldn't be listening.

I'm sorry the U.S. took music and art out of the schools and some of you don't know how to read or write but just. don't. bore. us.

Thank you.

What's this? Dandy Warhols? .......... NICE SEGUE!!

Bill,  Thanks for playing the sequence.  Although this is new to me it's clear you need to hear it in context.
