She is my find of 2009... I didn't know any of her stuff till I bought the Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's DVD where she does a few tracks with the aimiable JB.
WHAT A VOICE!!! WHAT A TALENT!!!! Go girl go.

More whispering and sound effects. Reminds me of what people do with Photoshop: multi-layered, airbrushed, and over-produced.

Oops, looks like Bill's magical programming substitute didn't notice that it played Frou Frou three songs ago. Of course, I don't care, because I love Imogen. |

Very good stuff from Imogen. Also very reminiscent of Kanno, if she will ever hit the mainstream...

Agreed! You can also check out that singular track on YouTube. I originally thought, "Wow! She is really, really tall" (I'll refrain from using a popular idiom here.) Anyway, then I saw a Jools Holland...Later DVD with Mssr. Beck. In watching that, the viewer learns that it's not that Imogen towers over everyone else, it's that Jeff is height-challenged! Of course, I revere Jeff's playing and also think him to be a regular bloke based on both his stage presence and the "extra bits" interviews on the DVD. It was just quite a contrast, that's all. |

Imogen is rapidly becoming one of my favorite new artists.

As much as I love Imogen Heap's voice, I think the instrumental version of this track is going to be even more amazing.
Great stuff.
