The best thing about this song is it's length.

not even in their top twenty best, yet still light years ahead of what everybody else was doing in '65-'66. don'tcha just wish they'd done two or three more albums AFTER abbey road?

Especially for the time (1966) in which it was released. Incredible mixture of experimental sounds, with a lot of influence coming from Macca's interest in John Cage avant-garde stuff. And hat's off to (engineer) Geoff Emerick for helping make the Fabs' rough ideas come to fruition. (John: " I want to have my voice sound as if I'm singing from the top of the Himalayas.")

Loved that line—"and you're making me feel like...."—from the first time I heard it some thirty years ago.
The Beatles. My first love.

And this is one of my favorite Beatles songs - it's simple but pure magic - puts me in a semi-trance every time. I have always thought Revolver was their best. Only because I tend to return to this album most often. Second would be Abbey Road, in particular the awesome side two. |

I don't consider Revolver even the Beatles best - I think the White Album is. For me the White Album particularly, but also Abbey Road, Sgt Peppers and even Magical Mystery Tour, still reward after years and years of listening, but Revolver, I think, runs out of flavor after too much chewing!
She Said isn't a melodic and harmonic marvel, like countless other Beatles tracks.

Incredibly innovative. |

Has to be the most tedious Beatles song ever. |

That honor goes to The Long and Winding Road. |
