That doesn't mean he is imitating them. It just means his voice sounds similar. I would also disagree that VAST doesn't have his own sound.

It's funny... On one album, Vast sounds like Mid-90's U2, on this song he sounds like The Doors vocally. While it appears that he doesn't really have his own sound, at least he's very good at imitating his inspirations.
