This group has two excellent selections on RP. Let's hear more.

Just recently saw M.O.F. on Austin City Limits. Very cool. Their name is a bit misleading after hearing more of their songs. It's not all like this.

I think the Japanese term is Mimi Unagi, and there is a band by that name, sort of a punk rock Japanese street performer kind of thing. Musical style quite a bit different than Monsters of Folk...

Check out the version where M. Ward sings, it sounds much more magical than this version

I like most of Conor's projects. The only one that hasn't resonated is Bright Eyes. This is nice.

The Italians have a nice word for such earworms: 'ritornello'. I can't see this one sticking in my brain as it's so feckin' DULL - aural Mogadon. A nailed-on Ho-Hum from the narcoleptic Nottingham jury sinking into a coma...

Man, this song is getting stuck in my head way too often. I like the song, I really do, but it's like some kind of super earworm.

God I hope so or that would be one
horrible sounding woman that should be checked for steroids!
BTW, I believe it is actually Bright Eyes Mike Mogis on the lead vocals on this one and I am pretty sure no one has mistakened him for a woman before.

the album is super cool, but what is even better is the live show - you get the best of everyone! saw them last year - it was amazing.

I second that, sublime is the only adjective for that song.
dj-amma Posted: Aug 13, 2010 - 14:03
There's not a bad song on the whole CD...and Conor has several among the best (this one included). Saw them live in Philly last fall and they were great.

I'm listening to this album on MOG.com (a subscription service sort of like lala.com used to be) and am really enjoying it.
