This was the first album I bought after returning from Vietnam service in 1968. I still have the 33 1/3 RPM. It's still very good!

I never get bored with that. I get a thrill whenever they play a Beatles song that I haven't yet attached a 10 to. |

Where is the '11'. The rating scale can't do justice to this little gem.

it may have been the dogs bollocks then but a new Generation grows up..
All you beatles lovers really should try and embrace some music that actually has some 'bite' about it....and stop defending the easy route...like the beatles...
I would rather listen to 'Identity' by X-Ray Spex than loads of beatles Bollocks...just more 'energy'....Get real and stop lying back in your seats and going...mmm..I remember the Beatles...fine combo'.....
How sad for you. You just don't get it, do you? |

There's an older book that tells you what inspired the Beatles songs. "A Hard Day's Write". Sometimes a later opinion by the songwriter is included. I dont recall what was said on this one.
When I first heard it at 13, I thought it was funny more than great. Now how about play "everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey..."

Personally, I'm so tired of this song. I don't automatically hate all things Beatles, but I sure don't worship them, either.

But while we're on the subject, after hearing the word all these years, just what is the actual meaning of the word "dipshit"?
Git:
rotter, dirty dog, rat, skunk, stinker, stinkpot, bum, puke, crumb, lowlife, scum bag, so-and-so...
Git: a person who is deemed to be despicable or contemptible; "only a rotter would do that"; "kill the rat"; "throw the bum out"; "you cowardly little pukes!"; "the British call a contemptible person a `git'"

I tend to agree at first, but then, on reflection, I have to realize that he must have been seriously mentally ill for at least a short time. Was Hitler mentally ill, and was he thus for years and years? Very true. But the guy isn't getting no forgiveness from me for being mentally ill.
I really think Lennon would still be producing good stuff to this day. Probably far better then Paul. |
