Sometimes Harrison's work was a little "out there", but I sure do like this one.

it'd be wonderful to hear George's hauntingly beautiful acoustic version of this too. |

Uncomplicated wrote:This is probably my favourite Beatles song. Great lyrics, vocals, instrumentation. And it's got Eric Clapton blaring away. What else could you ask for? Damn....I really didn't know EC did the lead on this. Well...that explains lots. Just could be my fave Fab Four song too. |

Yes, along with the jam session of Here Comes the Sun on that same fabulous set of disks. I've looked over and over for this on cd everywhere - since I don't own a turntable anymore. Suggestions on where to find it anyone?

IMO about the best Beatles song we are blessed with. Horribly underplayed and barely known.
Thanks for playing it.

I have to put everything down when you play this one....such power and understanding in what is on the surface, such a simple little tune. Thank you God and Krishna for lending us George for a few short years.

The point is, George Harrison was a great talent on his own accord. He too, is still missed.
I was always crazy about the quiet Beatle...he was a true inspiration!

Isn't it amazing how even though George got so few songs on the records, when he did, they were the best ones of the entire record. It's probably because when you have bandmates like that (in both talent and ego), you really have to do sometihng truely special to cut through. That unbelievably high bar being removed, of course, was the silver lining of the Beatles breaking up: us being able to hear Harrison's solo albums... |
