"cause you lied in my face of all places, but i've got no problem with that really" I call her lyrics f**ked up reality. So true, so often...hate to admit it almost. She inspires truth telling of a whole new kind.

Love this song, love this album, not as fond of Educated Guess. What happened there?

I like her vocal stylings, and most of her lyrics are really superior. But this song's lyrics are rather simplistic, don't you think? If you didn't know she was a lesbian, you could play this on just about any lite rock station in the country. |

What's up with those 2-3 seconds of throat singing all over 'as is'?? If that were my tongue, I'd have to stop singing completely and fish it back up out of my stomach. It's amazing she doesn't even break stride... |

Those 'chorus' parts plain out gives me the creeps.

WhatÂ’s the matter Billy? Afraid of the righteous babe? I notice that there are no female artists that you've rated above 6 or 7. Curious, mmmmmm. |

Difranco's been around for a lot longer than either of those artists, and she's been taking lessons from neither. |

Ani's first album was in 1989, 6 years before Alanis and 10 years before Macy Gray. If you're going to call it derivative, you need to go further back in time. Not to take anything away from the aforementioned artists, but Ani is an "original" that has influenced a successive generation of musicians. |

Most of this album ROCKS. This is not my favorite cut, but its still great to hear Ani here anyway. I'd like to hear even more from her. |
