If I could bring a dead rock star back to life my first choice would be Duane Allman..He was only 24 when he ran his Harley in to the back of that truck.

Mellow, sublime, and ultimately listenable.
And only $89.95 (right now) at Amazon. Sure glad I already have my copy.

not only outstanding music, a historical document. the allmans were never finer than they were at these recordings. and to think Greg was all of 24.

Which reminds us that, yes, music is the universal language - you can have the blues no matter where you exist on this shrinking globe of ours...and, a nod to the listener that recognized how underrated our bad boy Greg is as a B-3 artist. To see him in all of his tattoed glory groovin' behind that organ is to really be happy.......always stop and listen when ABB is comin' through those wavebands.........

Who's the Allman Brother who plays with the Radiators? which by the way, thank you RP for your introduction to them...
can we hear a Radiator song next? By the time this one's finished you'll have your next 10 songs lined up...

I interviewed Gregg some years back for a TV gig. One wild f**ked up dude. But a blues demi-god, by my standards...

What can be said of Stormy Mondy? When I think of the blues, this is the way it was meant to be played. Dicky Betts guitar work ranks as some of the tastiest ever put on vinyl.

Saw them like 10 times in the last few years...and they still ROCK!!!!!

Derek Trucks might be the best guitarist in rock&roll right now (he's like 24 or something) Warren Haynes is awesome....and Gregg is a living god. This tune makes their set list regularly...along with my all time favorite Allmans tune "Mountain Jam" so get your ass to church boy and GO SEE THEM!!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!!

AMEN BROTHER!!!!

Nowhere else can you get such a wide array of music in one place. And even the most odd combinations seem to work Turning Japanese into Stormy Monday. Whodathunk they could be so good together? Bill that's who. And he is right.

They are still touring, you know. Obviously, Duane Allman is long gone, and some other original members have drifted away, but still better than nothing!

Under the Mugro Doctrine of Covers, this song WORKS!!

This is under the category of remaking the classic blues song into another genre: Southern white boy jam blues.

BTW, this is a MUST HAVE album. This is a "desert isle" disc in my opinion.
