When I was a kid (12) I'd rarely get to hear this entire song, as it was nearly always truncated. It made my day when a rogue FM station, KWST, would give it all to me. Thanks RP for giving us the 'goods'.

Puzzle solved. You can get it on an album called "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" He was a terrific blues man, Clapton's only rival in the British scene of the day. His use of psychedelics triggered the onset of progressive adult schizophrenia. About the only thing worse one can get is ALS. |

Peter Green - nothing short of genius! Fleetwood Mac became relatively bland without him.

So unique, so out there, so beautiful. Gotta love the sheer audacity of putting out what would appear to be such a non-commercial composition. Love it.

There's weak rock and then there's strong rock. This is very definitely the latter category. All driven by that guitar line.

OH, WELL — frickin' awesome timeless blast from the trippy past. As is often the case, COOL RIFF on the previous song — Road to Rouen — 's tonal progression! Dig the music, and all its attendant associations, in all dimensions...what RP is all about; and ain't it the BEST?!

....They also flourished with Bob Welch's 'Hypnotized', and 'Sentimental Lady'—-or am I wrong about the 'Sentimental Lady' track/title?? "Hypnotized" was FM. Bob Welch released "Sentimental Lady" on his solo album "French Kiss." The song was a big hit as was "Ebony Eyes", "Hot Love, Cold World" and "Carolene." TMI...sorry.
Bob kinda disappeared after that album, dunno why. Last time I checked, you couldn't buy the original version of "Hypnotized" on iTunes or Amazon MP3 store.
The more I hear FM's pre-"Rumours" music, the more the band interests me. me. |
