This would make a good Budweiser commercial song............

If you are a Stevie fan, no other version can compare.
This is the definitive performance.

Everyone in the dojo loves this song.

Really?  I think if you are going with a cover of this then it should really be Smashing Pumpkins

Really? Right now? After the tough stuff you were just playin'? There must be some method to your madness, Bill, but my first reaction was "Why?!"

Funny, I've always thought it was just a little bit too fast.

Stevie was 26 when she wrote this.

We're all getting older all the time (even children). In fact, I'm now about 10 seconds older.

Unlike certain bands, example: Genesis, the Mac, at least to my ears, made good music throughout their various incarnations.  I started listening to them at the Kirwin and Welch stage and progressed backwards to the older blues driven Mac while at the same time moving to the Pop rock of the Buckingham/Nicks era.  I don't have a favorite, it's all good.

I agree wholeheartedly!  And many of their albums, this included, are worth their weight in gold!

I'll second that.  But I can't ignore that the D Chicks' version sounds fresh to me, while this one still has faint echos of its exhaustive airplay decades ago.  If I heard both versions anew at roughly the same time, this softer, subtler version may get the nod.  Without question though, the cover made me listen to the song with new ears and made me realize just how good it was.  Leo Kottke's version of 'World Turning' did the same, though In that case I definitely prefer Leo's version.

I vary rarely post a negative comment, but here comes one now ...

I cannot stand the "newer" version of Fleetwood Mac.  Most of my buddies listened to them because girls listened to them and Stevie Nicks was hot.  I missed the melodies and rythms with the Bob Welch-Christine McVie lineup, and still do.

Bashing Rumours and this album successfully is like swimming upstream in a flooding river.
