The tortured Strat solos.. Is there any other reason for this song to exist?

That Los Lobos would open for anyone is a bit criminal, especially someone nobody's heard of. Oh wait, I see Colin James is Canadian, and the show you're referring to is in Canada.  That sort of explains that.

This is a dancing song...Get the feet moving and hips swaying... Lets dance-!   In Sweden they dance at lunch... This is a good swing-your-honey song.... Thanks

Doesn't sound like Lobos ...

That's because it's one of Cesar Rosas's songs. (He's the short, chubby one who plays guitar and always wears dark glasses. Cool guy, great singer.) Most of their best and most recognizable songs (think Will the Wolf Survive?) are written by frontman/virtuoso David Hidalgo and drummer-turned-guitarist Louie Perez. They are a dynamic songwriting duo in my opinion. Cesar's stuff is more stripped-down, simplistic bluesy romps - fun tunes, if that's your thing. For me they mostly serve as diversions from the weightier, more melodic Hidalgo/Perez songs that make up the bulk of their albums.

Wow, shouldn't this song have a higher score? The comments seem favorable.

Good music... They are never leaving that "Bar Band" sound... and I appreciate staying true to roots vs the journey so many others have taken to oblivion

I was thinking Pat Travers when it started and then was wondering if he was sitting in on the song or working the board.
