Reminds me of Rush, and not in a good way....

You want "out of the box" then we want to hear Radiohead and Cake.
In the RP context, Radiohead is the box —- far and away the most played artist here. Better Than Ezra? Once a month. Who are "we", by the way? Still suffering from delusions of grandeur? |

I really can't decide until I've heard something by Ezra. Bill - play something by Ezra. Please.

When they were good they were great, and when they were bad they sucked big time... fortunatley this was one of the times they were good...

Seen them several times because my wife loves them. They can be a lot of fun in concert, but seemed a bit burnt out the last two times...

This indeed sounds like a great live band. But even in this studio recording there is a lot of energy. Kevin's voice sound a bit like 10'000 maniacs Terry.

I LOVED them. And their music always brings back awesome "90s" memories...*sigh* |

Living in the Great White North I've missed a lot of stuff like this, which sounds like it would fit nicely between Gin Blossoms and Three Doors Down on an American modern rock mix tape.
For what it's worth, I like it --- it's out of the box, and better yet, it's not Radiohead or Cake!

This strikes me as mechanical and antiseptic.
With the idea behind these lyrics, the song should be infused with emotion. And it isn't.
