The only problem with your complaint is that this can be stated about nearly anything by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc., that are now in the canon as worthy of play here, but which also were Top 40 in their day. Did this diminish their impact at the time? How about today? If a recording is unusually good, why not play it from time to time? I do not recall hearing it here more than twice before this, and since I rarely hear any other radio, for me it has not been recently oversaturated. Try not listening to all those other venues where you have been hearing it constantly: You might benefit from the reduction in aural pollution. Possibly your mood at the time you wrote this comment influenced your perception. |
