If you listened to Mental Jewelry you would know that "religious stuff" was always part of Live's schtick. You gotta either love it or leave it. I love it... no one is as earnest as Ed in pseudo-spirituality. Besides, this song rocks.

I'm not a fan of hollerin' music. It has to be mighty good hollerin' for me to like it. This unfortunately isn't.

Damn good hard rockin tune! I have a lot of respect for this band....no pop-iness in them at all. Their guitar riffs are always stong, and the singing does have some emotion to it.

Well, not at the time. Today I hear their new song and it is rather trite, though still better than most of the junk on the mix station in Austin. Unfortunately that's where it now belongs. Sounds like Vertical Horizon. But this song, on the other... I still think this is their best since Pain Lies on the Riverside.

sure to be included on their "best of" record some day, lost a lot of respect for these guys when added another guitar and keys to a band that was four guys who got together in highschool and became a great band

Probably not one of my favorites but just about anything LIVE does is worth a listen. Non-commercial straight rock.
It just doesn't get any better. Check out Birds of Pray. (pimp)

I have a similar reaction. I find myself liking this better than when it came out. I've always liked bands like Live because they are a diversion from the generic and the usual and are willing to experiment. Maybe it's just that it seems new again since much of the music today seems more lowkey.

You know, I used to poke a lot of fun at this band. I have to say this song is really cool. I think this band really did turn out to have more integrity than I gave them credit for in the "Throwing Copper" days. Its good!

Yeah, Live rocks (or used to anyway) and this song rocks. They are absolutely the best band I've ever seen live, hence the name.

Live rocks. This song rocks. If you want to expand your horizons, listen to RP. You will expand them in every direction -- that's a good thing. Long Live RP!

Ed actually has a pretty decent range. I encourage you to listen to more of Live's stuff to hear it. They're a most excellent band.

They'd be really good if the lead singer would sing instead of screaming all the time.

this song BLOWS ME AWAY. and i'm not even a huge live fan.
just love this from start to finish.
my favorite live tunes are The Beauty of Grey & Iris though. not sure they'd fit in on here.
but THIS IS GREAT!!

Interesting powerful driving baseline - I think it might have been better as purely instrumental or different vocals
