This was one of the songs that I would listen to at the tail-end of a relationship that was long long over — we were just hanging onto fumes. Listening to it now doesn't make me miss it at all but does oddly make me miss the way I used to feel then — like there was pleasure in the torture of a broken heart. Or maybe, fondness that I'm not broken after all.

This is the first Mazzy Star song which isn't an automatic Ho-Hum, perhaps because Hope Sandeval actually sounds awake on this song and not as if she's just necked a bunch of downers and needs to go bye-byes. 7 from the Nottingham jury. |

This is a great album (the band's best of their small catalogue). However, I think "I've Been Let Down" is a better introduction to this album.

Amen to that! I tried explaining that to a good friend who used to accuse me of listening to "depri music", alas to no avail. |

i remember being compared to this performer many times....meanwhile time has passed and there's a bit more grit in my voice. i absolutely fall over everytime i hear Mazzye every time her voice , her lyrics.....that makes the song 100% no doubt, one of the most amazing performers!

The voice & style remind me of Kerstin Hersh - unluckily, for I grew tired of her.

Love this voice. Also see Hope Sandoval Bavarian Fruit Bread. Possibly even better than Mazzy Star.

Lovely, from the soul, and haunting. This one may have pushed me over the edge to buy a Mazzy album.
