I used to play this song in a band about double the speed. It was sooo much fun!
Great to hear the original again {#Drummer}

I agree about the retro feel, but I disagree about the song. I like it.

I really love Ben Harper, but this is pretty far from his best song.  I always skip it when it comes up on my player...

Guess Ben and Laura are really quits, now.  He plays a mean Weissenborn, in any event..

LOL- YES. I guess it was! Doesn't seem that long ago subjectively, but I suppose it was.

I was going to post now, after hearing this for the second time, that the beginning reminded me of ZZ Top.

Here in the low lands this reminds me quite a lot of Herman Brood, although I can't remember the specific song title right now. It's not a cover, is it?
This is much smoother though, i.e. rather tame in comparison.

This was after Joanna and before Laura .. some interesting in-between words in this song.

For some reason I want to hear Kiss doing a great cover of this.
Gene Simmonds would rip with this stuff.

This always reminds me of Larry Underwood's "Baby can you dig your man." Can't say why, especially since i've never actually heard the song...
