I've heard alot of this album from Bill and Rebecca and found it recently in the used CD rack for $5.00 and could not pass it up. It is a great album with alot of cute ditties. 8 Piece Box is so true to life (I can eat all day for $7.99!). Great to listen to in the car driving in busy traffic looking for that open lane to open it up.

Solid 10. And they are the B52s of southern rock and maybe a little more creative. Or at least self mocking.

I saw these guys in concert, in a Toronto bar. Yes, they threw fried chicken into the crowd.
It was a seriously loud and great show.

Yea! I'm seeing SCOTS on 11/20/11 here in Gainesville! I've seen them 6+ times, and the shows are always so much fun.

Yeah, they've been earnestly "posing" while driving all over the country in rickety, old vans, for over twenty-five years.

I like the sense or humor and what they are trying to do, I generally love southern alt country with a sense of humor. However, this band bores me.{#Sleep}

He needs an 8-piece box. Or at least I do. Maybe Walleye instead?

Shotgun would be great, too.

That's some daring album cover! Gotta warn my friend who's going to America soon not to stray into the bushes when in the South. His dirt track would not like it.

Yay! Something different! Seems like Radio Paradise has become a self-chosen Top 40 station lately.

I always think of Zipper and Zevon when I hear SCOTS...they have some wonderful SCOTS concert stories to tell.

If you had ever seen these guys play live, you would never have said that.

I guess it's a little different when the audience is throwing fried chicken around the room.

(Yes, we really DO do that!)

SCOTS is just plain fun music.  Some people need to get a sense of humor.  And the guitar playing kicks ass!  The only national culture that is more ripe for making fun of than the French is American culture.  Hillbillies/rednecks, fat assess, poor eating habits and a ridiculously narcissistic love of cars

 is just a goldmine for those who know how to mine it.{#Bananajam}

Heard a local band warm-up into one of their songs with the intro to Born On The Bayou, but once they started singing they were onto something else.

Hey, Hannio and others...you're missing the point.  They would be 'crap hick American blues trash' if they we SERIOUS!  The whole point of this group is the mockery!  They're having fun and making fun....lighten up guys and have some yourself....{#Confused}

I think you have me confused with others.  I love SCOTS.
