A fine groove from the Texans - I'm off for another futile twiddling with my amplifier to try to get close to that sweet guitar sound... |

Why is it that the only guy in the band without a beard is named Frank Beard? That is sooooo messed up... |

Perhaps it's because they are both from the same part of the country, but I'm hearing a lot of Billy Gibbons phrasings in many of Lucinda Williams's recordings. Wow... what a duet that would make: ZZTop w/ Lucinda on lead voca!

I am SO in the mood for this now! Long, hot day working outside (the wind had blown over all the trees and shrubs so I spent about an hour standing everything upright so I could water it - I'm still trying to understand why the guys who work at the nursery get ten dollars an hour and I work just as hard as they do and only make $8.25 an hour... ) I just got home, watered my garden, cleaned three litterboxes, and then came in to hear this song. Suddenly, everything is okay again. |

In the mid 90s, Dusty Hill could quite often be found just hanging out at places like the Ginger Man and the Barley House in Dallas. He sat in with all kinds of miscellaneous local acts, and it was a lot of fun just to talk to him.
