Big time stoner and whiskey track. I oughta know. Wore out a copy of Stars and Bars on my turntable in '78; one day we drove the married working couple neighbors friggin' up the wall. They called the cops. Thank God it was a breezy Boston evening that sucked the weed smoke out the hall and windows. Sorry, neighbors, mea culpa, wherever you are, that was rude of us, I wouldn't think of doing that now. But Neil, I love ya and just had to share it with, well, just about the entire building and block.

Seriously, how did Neil Young get a recording contract?  He can't hold a note. He sings like my dog when he wants a biscuit.

I'm more wondering how in the world he and everyone else involved with this band let him keep this "drummer".  This guy must be the single worst drummer in the history of music.  I can appreciate "minimalism", but this guy cannot keep even a simple beat.  Your dog probably has better timing and SOME semblance of creativity too.

If Neil wasn't Neil, these guys would be laughed off the stage.

Neil Young can create colossal atmospheres with his music - and this tune is a fine example. A unique and gentle, but{#Guitarist} powerful presence!

Sudio-album: Neil Young and Crazy Horse – Americana (2012)

Song: THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND

words and music by Woody Guthrie

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me

As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway
I saw below me a golden valley
This land was made for you and me
I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
And all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me

The sun comes shining as I was strolling
The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
The fog was lifting a voice come chanting
This land was made for you and me

As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tress passin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.

PS - And, btw, when you answering my comments, is quite unnecessary as you use the "vocabulary street" as "FY".

I surely agree with you, I spotted this situation for some time now, and I've done here {#Arrow} this observation.
Who seems not to have noticed is (a) responsible for the graphic design of the web-site "Radio Paradise", that last "revision" to version 2.0, turned the web-site of "upside down", eg , "black background in mobile versions", "reducing the size of the letters," "distorted images" etc..

Maybe the difference between "Mr Young" and you has something to do with talent and feeling
Just wondering....

My first love used this as her dump theme song. In her case she was blown away by Tommy Fitzpatrick. As if. Ah, at least she married him.

Strangely I love it anyway

I typically hate old rockers.  After they lose their creativity their music evolves into generic balads that suck.  Neil, however, is one old fart that I can listen too for awhile without crawling up the walls.

Not sure how he managed, but I'm glad he did. Maybe it had something to do with his songwriting and incredible guitar playing.

And maybe your dog has talent, you never know.

Always hated the refrain, still do. It's so annoying primitive. Excellent guitar work, though. {#Angel}

Whoah, yeah!  I am happy to report that old Neil is still about as pissed off as ever, still as willing to rail loud and hard about politics, love, Life and the things that matter, and just as eager to get down and JAM those long, soaring and ear-bending grunge-guitar duels with Crazy Horse...Sunday night at Red Rocks was the ultimate Power Music Experience!  They didn't play this one, but let out flashes of it in various sizzling kickass new things and tasty moments of improv — they stayed well at the edge of feedback and beyond, and the new stuff they played was incredible!  Classics, too: Mr. Soul, Cinnamon Girl, Powderfinger, The Needle and the Damage Done...what a night to remember! and Neil, thanks for a lifetime of tunes; your legacy as Legend is solid, and your new stuff REALLY ROCKS!
